That program lives in your Applications folder in a subfolder called (surprise!) Utilities, a shortcut for which lives under Finder’s “Go” menu. So to do this, first open AirPort Utility.
Downgrade firmware upgrade#
So if you find that printing’s spotty or an older device won’t connect, this’d be an easy troubleshooting step, especially if you can link the start of the trouble to an upgrade you installed! Unlike with macOS and iOS, Apple provides a really simple way to do this for network devices using the AirPort Utility program. (That’s always my recommended first step.) But after you commence not freaking out, then consider downgrading the firmware on the offending device.

Note: If you inadvertently entered y at the 'Configuration modified, save?' prompt, then just repeat step 10 and enter n.If you do an update on one of your Apple network devices, like a Time Capsule or AirPort Extreme, and then you find that you’re having problems afterward, what do you do? Well, don’t freak out. Wait for a few minutes and then logon to the security device again. Before upgrading or downgrading a security device, save the existing configuration file to avoid losing any data:.Log in as the root admin or an admin with read-write privileges. Log in to the security device using an application such as Telnet or Secure Shell (SSH) or Hyper Terminal, if directly connected through the console port.To upgrade and downgrade ScreenOS via the CLI, perform the following procedure: Leave your browser open for 5 minutes, Refresh the browser, and Login again.
Restart the upgrade procedure from step 2. If you click Cancel and the upgrade fails, power off the device and then power it on again. Do not click Cancel or the upgrade /downgrade will fail. Note : The firewall will automatically reboot, after OK is clicked and the firmware has been updated. In the Microsoft Internet Explorer window, click OK. From the ScreenOS/Keys page, click Apply.
